Roll-Printed Sterling Silver and Scottish Ballachulish Slate Kilt Pin.

Ballachulish Slate on Sterling Silver Kilt Pin (1)

  • Contemporary, hand-made kilt pin. Designed and made in Scotland using Sterling Silver and Scottish Ballachulish Slate.

The Silver panel is roll-printed to give it a unique pattern and then is brushed to give a matt finish. The slate which comes from the Ballachulish quarry in Scotland is then riveted onto the panel using Sterling Silver tubing. The pin on the back is also made from strong pin wire which gives the wearer piece of mind during every ceilidh! The Kilt Pin will come in a smart black box.

The slate is from the Ballachulish quarry and is world famous for the iron pyrite or "fools' gold" which occurs naturally between the layers. Once broken, the fools' gold shows through in varying amounts.

Please note that the piece of slate may vary slightly from the picture as it breaks slightly differently each time. This adds to the unique quality of the piece and ensures that your kilt pin is truly a one-off!
